Refund Policy – Please ensure your device is in working order and your phone is compatible with the new carrier before purchasing our services. If you would like to contact us before ordering – sales@theunlockingcompany.com, we can check your IMEI and provide the options to unlock the phone.
Eligible for Refund:
Premium Service Failures: If the service fails for any reason, you’ll be refunded along with any Standard Service payments you have made.
Remote USB Unlock: Refund is given if the service is incompatible or doesn’t work.
Incorrect Unlocking Code: If, having worked with our technician to get the code to work, and we cannot get the code to work, you’ll be refunded.
Specific iPhone Issue: Refunds are provided if an iPhone unlock fails solely due to “Incompatible Sim” message. Proof in the form of a video is required and can be explained upon request.
No Longer want to wait – if you would not like to wait for the unlock, up to 45 days from time of purchase, we can offer store credit in place of a monetary refund. $30 Store credit is valid for future purchases and does not expire unless otherwise stated.
Not Eligible for Refund:
Delay in IMEI: No refund for delays.
Blocked/Blacklisted Phones: If your phone is blocked, stolen, or lost, no refund is provided, but we can provide service to clean the phone so you can use the original carrier again
iCloud Activation Lock on iPhones: Contact the iPhone owner for iCloud removal or buy our iCloud Removal service. Sim unlocks won’t be refunded if the device is unusable due to Activation Lock. Check for Activation Lock at https://www.icloud.com/activationlock/.
Specific Device Issues: If the device is hard locked, or if it’s an Android that doesn’t ask for a code. Already Unlocked phones: No refund if you order an unlock for an already unlocked phone.
No Unlock Code Prompt: No refund if you purchased an unlocking code, but your Android phone doesn’t prompt for a code when using an incompatible sim card.
Multiple Orders: No refund if you order from multiple providers and request a refund based on notification timings.
Wrong IMEI: No refund if the provided IMEI is incorrect and unlock code was provided for the incorrect IMEI
Eligibility Check: These checks are non-refundable cost is $8 for the checks.
Sony/Samsung/LG Errors: No refund if your device has exceeded the maximum number of incorrect attempts.
Hard-Locked Phones: If your phone is hard-locked by the carrier, no refund is provided.
There is $5 non-refundable service fee which is for covering the cost of various services that do not refund for checking, such as eligibility, status check, clean check/unlock service and carrier check.
Our refund and returns policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have passed since your purchase, we can’t offer you a full refund or exchange.
To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.
Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a 4-14 banking days.
Late or missing refunds
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted can be 4-14 business days (Monday through Friday).
Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Sale items
Only regular priced items may be refunded. Sale items cannot be refunded.
Shipping returns
To return your product, you should mail your product to: {physical address}.
You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.
Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary.
If you are returning more expensive items, you may consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
